A straightforward and often humorous tale, this book is a biographical telling of one man’s travels in and around the Rocky Mountains during the heyday of the fur trappers of early 19th century America. William Drannen was just a young teen boy when he joined up with famed trapper Kit Carson. He tells of trapping, Indians, traders, and life on the unspoiled frontier of the West.

I own this exact hardback first printing and really enjoyed the rich history here.
